Bridget Jones's Diary

I watched it again. What can I do? I love that movie. 3 favourite moments:
1)
Mark Darcy taking his jacket off and taking things into his hands in the kitchen.
2) Mark Darcy and Daniel Cleaver singing "Happy Birthday" in the middle of their fight.

and my favourite favourite:

3)
Mark Darcy: I don't think you're an idiot at all. I mean, there are elements of the ridiculous about you. Your mother's pretty interesting. And you really are an appallingly bad public speaker. And, um, you tend to let whatever's in your head come out of your mouth without much consideration of the consequences... But the thing is, um, what I'm trying to say, very inarticulately, is that, um, in fact, perhaps despite appearances, I like you, very much. Just as you are.

Yes, I'm just an old sap and Bridget has been my hero since I was 17.

Friday Blabber

We walked around the bridges today. That's right - WALKED. Professor said we are supposed to run. I turned around and went: Ha. Ha. (That's my super-sarcastic laugh.) Seriously, I'm 25. I'm not gonna run around the city with fucking backpack on. And he said we have to make the circle and then return to THE BENCH HE WAS SITTING ON so he'd sign us in his book, y'know, that we came to the class. And I said I didn't like the order of actions. Signing us in so we could leave as soon as he couldn't see us, that would've been great! And he said next time he's bringing balls so we can play volleyball. Yaa-fucking-aay. Did I mention I'm anti-sports?
Anyhow, TGIF. Yeah, I know this week I only went to the Uni two times and I skipped most of the classes yesterday but still Friday is always nice when it comes. And tonight it's "Bridget Jones's Diary" on. Yes, I've seen that movie 5-6 times already, not to mention having my own copy, but there's something about one's favourite movies being on TV... Simply cannot miss it. And no, I'm not ordering any pizza, thank you very much.

Currently reading: In Her Shoes, Jennifer Weiner (I like chick-lit. Sue me.)

Tagged

So Darth Sardonic tagged me. Good thing I'm bored.
10 random things about me - I can do that.
10 people to tag in return - no fucking way. Wait... Can I tag them on MySpace? I can?! Then I'm alright!
So here goes:
1. I'm 25 and only a freshman. Still clueless about what I want.
2. I loved my late dog more than I love my "current" one.
3. I get really excited every time anyone comments on my blog. I can't believe anyone reads that crap, let alone comments!
4. I am an obsessive reader. Mostly of crap.
5. I dance like an idiot in my room. I never dance in public.
6. I start a lot of my sentences with "I". Egoistic much?
7. I can't take a compliment.
8. I cry at the end of most movies. (Don't ask me which movies I watch.)
9. In 8 out of 10 times I was behind the wheel, I had some kind of an accident. I don't drive anymore.
10. I am more bored now with what I wrote than I was when I started.

I'm tagging Doc, Mama Bear, Nicbeast, YKM, Bel, Jo, Katjus, AJ, Prly and Jail. My job is done.

300

Did I not say I was NOT going to see that movie? Did I NOT?
Well... I came home and there were a few DIVXs on the table. What was a girl to do? Open the box. Duh! And there it was, 300. Sister's bf must have brought it earlier. And as I have no will power whatsoever (proven so many times in the past), I shove it into the DVD player and watch it. And it's ok. I'm not all that much into spilling liters of blood but ok, I can take it. What I don't get is why someone (can't quite remember who - was it you, Doc?) told me she had an instant crush on Gerard Butler. But tastes are not to be discussed.
Anyway... Watching 300 - check.

Playing Truant

I decided yesterday I'm not gonna go to the first class of the day. I texted a friend instead and we went for a coffee. Then I returned to the Uni for L... excuse me... HT's class. I wasn't gonna miss that! Though it was not as enjoyable as usual cuz I was on my best behavior and let's face it: there's no fun in behaving. But he wore no glasses either. I miss the glasses now. I WANT him to wear them. Ok, must stop thinking of my married professor. Did I mention he's as old as me? Yeah...
Then I decided to skip a partial exam that I totally didn't study for (hence the skipping) and a bunch of us went to a cafe instead. (I suppose you've noticed: Croatians drink a lot of coffee.) At least this time no one discussed my boobs.
Then I thought of going back to another class but then I just went home instead. It was not a day for classes. It just wasn't.
But it was an excellent day for catching up with the newest gossip of my 19yr old classmates. (Now Maja will be offended again! lol)
Fucking P.E. tomorrow morning. We've heard two rumours: one saying we are about to run between the bridges on the Drava (it's a long way to run, trust me) and the other saying we should bring balls and cards so we could just do nothing. lol I'm really hoping it's the latter that is true. I can't run. Seriously. I DO NOT RUN. It's against my religion. I can walk. If I must. But I would prefer sitting on the grass and playing poker or something. Can I play poker? Of course not. But it has to be easier than running around.

What Happens When I Go Out

Funny thing happened yesterday. We were actually kinda expecting it but hoped it wouldn't. Anyway... We got to the movies and we were the only ones there and, naturally, they wouldn't play the film just for the two of us. Fun fact: the exact same thing happened to Sonja's parents a few years ago. Must be something in their genes...
So we rented a movie instead (Devil Wears Prada, if you must know, and no, I'm not proud for watching it after I read the book and decided it was not all that good).
Then we decide we sure could use some pizza with the movie. So Sonja first wants to call "Oliva" to order it but remembers that it moved and she doesn't know where it is now so she calls "Sebastijan". And no one picks up. Yeah, I know it was a holiday but still, it's a bloody pizzeria, it's supposed to be open! We don't give up. We go to our fave pizzeria, "Lyra". We get to the door and YAAAY, it's open. We share a grin then notice a sign on the door: "No pizza because the stove is out of order." FUCK! Now what?! Cuz we really want that pizza now! And we don't like any other pizzerias. So Sonja says she'll call "Oliva" anyway and have them explain to her where they are. And she calls and the woman tells her that they have returned to the place they were at the beginning!!!!
Oh yeah, the pizza was good...

A Day In (Non)Life

Well, myspace is giving me crap again. What else is new, eh? I am so gonna switch to some place else one day...
It was "Dead Fall" tonight. Y'know, Michael and Sucre in the river, Michael all wet and trying oh so hard to move that tree off Sucre's leg... Yeah... Well damn you, Wentworth Miller! I am seriously ruined for life. Why did PB ever have to be shown to us in Croatia? WHY? I'm too old for this shit, I really am. I can't concentrate on anything except for him. It's crazy. Again, what's new... I texted that former Went-addict friend of mine, asking her if she's watching wet Went and she said she's not watching this season at all cuz it was bad for her health. I wish I had her strength.
I'm going to see "Notes on a Scandal" tomorrow. I hope it's good. The reviews are good but no one I know has seen it. I guess everyone is going to see "300". I don't want to. I'm just weird like that. I ususally have no desire to watch what everyone else wants. Unless, of course, there's someone really hot in the movie. *snicker* But these days it's only Wentworth Miller and he's in no movies at all. Which sucks. Wentworth Miller, if you read this, GO MAKE SOME MOVIES!
What else? Yeah, Labour Day tomorrow. Dad is barbecuing in the yard, Sonja and sister's bf are coming over. I hope the weather serves us. It's no fun if it rains or is cold.
I watched GA tonight. Is Denny going to die? Someone mentioned something to me but I'm not sure anymore. Anyway, since I heard that, every episode I see, all I can think of is: "Is this the episode he dies in?" I know, I watch too much TV... Still nothing new here.
I should get a life. Soon.
